Light Vehicle Technician
We are looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join our team in Acharacle, responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, changing tyres, brake inspections and fluid checks.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and costs.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Fully experienced or qualified vehicle mechanic with the ability to confidently diagnose faults and carry out repairs
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

£45,000 to £52,000 annual salary dependant on experience

HGV Class 1 Driver
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our team in Acharacle, specialising in local breakdown and recovery work, as well as long-distance vehicle transport and general haulage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to roadside breakdowns, accident callouts etc and carry out on-site assessments and repairs where possible.
- Safely recover, tow or transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate callout, recovery and incident records in our reporting systems.
- Assist in the garage workshop with vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
- Operate a variety of vehicles from our modern fleet.
Essential Requirements:
- HGV Class 1 license with minimum 2 years driving experience.
- Comprehensive mechanical knowledge with the ability to confidently diagnose faults and carry out effective roadside repairs.
- Trailer towing experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable with nights out in the lorry (allowance provided)
Work Pattern & Benefits:
- Monday-Friday, plus 1 weekend in 4 on rota.
- Excellent rate of pay
- Overnight allowance.
